FD-OW low ballast elevation for east-west orientation

With the further development of DICONAL® PV-mounting system we were determined to provide a new solution for east-west oriented flatroof mounting. The new system is lighter, cheaper and it offers more flexibility in using large modules. Our system is connected in a torsion-resistant manner. And the compatibility to all DICONAL® system components is still present even after 13 years of constant development. Also new is our mounting support FD-OW 32707. With the help of this „stencile“ the set up of the grid can be carried out precisely in a short time.
FD-OW Application
For flat roofs up to 5° tilt, that allow no roof penetration and only small extra load on the roof. The aerodynamic optimization prevents the PV system from sliping and blowing away.

Montagehilfe FD-OW 32707 einstellen
Die Reihenabstände zwischen den vormontierten Aufständerungen richtet sich nach der Modullänge. Damit die Montage einfach läuft, liefern wir mit der Montagehilfe eine „Schablone“, um die Reihen auf das richtige Maß zu bringen.
- Die beiden Montagehilfen in ein P-40 Tragprofil einschieben. Modul rechts und links an den Modul-Kanten positionieren (Abbildung 1-3) - anpassen - fixieren und die Positionierung für weitere Module wiederholen.
Montage
- Ausmessen + schnurschlagen (Randbereiche beachten) + vormontierte Aufständerungen positionieren
- Aufständerungen mit der DICONAL® Montagehilfe FD-OW 32707 genau ausrichten und fixieren
- P-40 Verbindungsprofile in den Klemmpositionen festschrauben - Montagehilfe in jeder Position verwenden
- Tragprofile P-80 aus der Transporthalterung nehmen und in Position mit dem Verbinder fixieren.
- Ballasthalter nach Projektvorgaben einhängen und ballastieren
- Wichtig: Die Module müssen unten an die dafür vorgesehenen Winkel angelegt werden.

Type of test:
- Inspection of the lightning current capability for the test class N (50 kA) based on the test method DIN EN 62561-1 (VDE 0185-561-1):2017-12, Section 6.3.1 and Section 6.4.
- Evaluation of the PV mounting frame as a natural component of the current dissipation of a lightning protection system according to DIN EN 62305-3 (VDE 0185-305-3):2011-10, Section 5.3.5.
Result:
Inspection of the lightning current capability of the PV-Flachdach-systems DICONAL® FD-OW for the test class N 50 kA (10/350 μs) based on the test method DIN EN 62561-1 was passed.
- The PV-System DICONAL® FD-OW meets the requirements according to DIN EN 62305-3: 2011-10, Section 5.2.5 as a natural component of the current dissipation of a lightning protection system.
- Furthermore the lightning current capability of the System DICONAL® FD-OW was tested successfully for the test class N (50 kA) based on the test method DIN EN 62561-1:2017-12.
Examiner:
The test was carried out 2022 by DEHN Test Centre in Neumarkt
Lightning protection: DICONAL® FD-S
FD-S and FD-OW are built with the same system compatible components. In 2022 our Photovoltaik-flatroof system DICONAL® FD-OW was tested successfully for lightning current capability by DEHN Test Centre in Neumarkt. Test report FD-OW. FD-S will deliver the same technical parameters if the following DEHN parts will be used according to the test report.
